The 11th National Topology Forum for Young Scholars Concludes Successfully

From July 13 to 18, the "11th National Young Topologists Forum" was held at Wuhan University, co-organized by the National Center for Mathematics Tianyuan (Central China) and the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Wuhan University.

Li Qin, Party Secretary of the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Wuhan University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He introduced the development of the school, particularly in topology, and extended a warm welcome and gratitude to the attendees. Researcher Su Yang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences spoke on behalf of the organizing committee, outlining the history and significance of the forum.

Academician Wang Shicheng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered a lecture titled "Chirality of Geometric 3-Manifold commensurability classes", sharing the latest advancements in 3-manifold research with the audience.

During the forum, 27 renowned experts and scholars from 22 institutions, including Peking University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Caltech, Stanford University, and Ohio State University, delivered outstanding presentations on topics related to topology. The event was attended by over 100 experts and scholars from both domestic and international academic communities.

By bringing together leading researchers in topology, this forum achieved a mutually reinforcing synergy between theoretical breakthroughs and practical applications. The event not only invigorated academic innovation within the institution but also significantly accelerated the development of related disciplines.
