In this talk, we mainly discuss the local gradient estimate for minimal surf ace equation on the domains.

We first introduce the submanifold geometry of hypersurfaces and recall the concept of mean curvature. Then we study the minimal surface equation and consider the local uniqueness. We also outline the proof of Bernstein theorem on the plane.

To understand the moduli space of solutions of minimal surface equation, we derive the local gradient estimate for solutions.
