On July 15, seven postgraduates from our school, accompanied by their instructor Liu Yingjun, arrived for internships at the Hubei Survey Organization of the National Bureau of Statistics (hereinafter referred to as "Hubei Survey Organization"). Xu Chi, Head of the Personnel and Education Department of Hubei Survey Organization, warmly received the teachers and students and arranged matters including intern position assignments.
Our interns have been assigned to the Hubei Survey Organization and its Wuhan survey team. Their positions span various departments, including the Personnel Department, Analysis Department, Income and Expenditure Department, and the Consumption Price Survey Department. Following a "summer offline + online after semester begins" format, the students will work alongside experts from these departments on tasks such as field surveys, statistical analysis, and project research. Engaging directly with frontline statistical data, they will experience real-world statistical analysis scenarios, bridge the gap between academic theory and practical innovation, and enhance their professional statistical literacy and theoretical application skills.
It is reported that our school and Hubei Survey Organization held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony on April 22. Leveraging this cooperation base, the two sides will establish regular communication mechanisms and share statistical research data, industry cases, and academic resources, aiming to transform "laboratory achievements" from the university into practical solutions that serve society more rapidly.
