Our school has recently been honored as "Wuhan University 2024 Advanced Unit for China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Series Competitions" in recognition of its outstanding performance in these events.

Our school serves as the secretariat of the university's organizing committee for the China Postgraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling. To strengthen academic atmosphere and foster an environment for scientific innovation and competitions, the school employs a dual approach of introduction and cultivation, integrating promotion of innovation competitions and participant training into freshman orientation programs. It has also established incentive mechanisms for both postgraduate competition awards and faculty guidance/training. Furthermore, the school extensively mobilizes postgraduates from relevant disciplines to participate, resulting in a record number of participating teams in 2024.

Prior to the competitions, the school organized a series of training courses conducted by its faculty for participating postgraduates across the university, covering both theoretical instruction and practical exercises. During the competition periods, the school provided venue and equipment support for all university teams and maintained close communication with the competition organizing committees, offering consultation and services for participating students.

In 2024, our university achieved 3 first prizes, 70 second prizes, and 52 third prizes. The number of first prizes was tied for first place among participating universities, and the total number of awards set a new historical record for the university, ranking 5th nationally. A total of 131 postgraduates from our school participated in the innovation competitions, winning 6 second prizes and 11 third prizes.
